LexisNexis is one of the easiest ways, yes, but not the only way. If you go to http://www.lexisnexis.com/hottopics/lnacademic/, and then at the bottom go to "Look up a legal case" you can search by the party(ies) involved, the case number or the topic. That is the easy part - once the cases come back, it can be a bit hard to filter through them and find the one you want, and then decipher what actually happened in the case is even harder.
Sometimes I find it easier to Google a court case - to look for news articles about the result - and THEN look up the case in LexisNexis or another database. The news releases generally are easier to read and find out what happened, then you can get more details in Lexis.
