Many textbooks here at Lynn are given to students as iBooks or e-books that you read on your iPad. These are faculty-authored and developed by the Lynn University Digital Press. To get these books, your professor will give you a code to download the books from iTunes U. There is no charge for them.
Other required texts, however, you will need to borrow from the library or purchase.
To BORROW a book: The library has copies of nearly all textbooks and other required books assigned in classes, available for 3-hour loan only behind the Information Desk - search for books here - be sure you are clicking on "Textbooks/Reserves" at the top.
To BUY a book: Go to Lynn's Campus Store, click on "Order Books," then enter your term and find your courses. The books you need will be listed there. For detailed directions see Getting Your e-Textbook. You can purchase them via that site, or go to other online sources for purchasing books. If your course tells you that no books are available to be purchased there, that simply means that your professor has assigned a Lynn-provided iBook or e-Book and it will be free for you.
Contact a Lynn Librarian if you are still not sure - we are happy to work with you to find cost-effective ways to get your textbooks for your courses.
