What is the best way to set up the scholarly activities portion of my promotion application?
Answer
No matter where you share your scholarly activities, it is your responsibility to make a clear case that they are scholarly in nature and peer-reviewed. Remember, scholars from other fields will be reviewing your promotion portfolio, scholarly reporting form, or Lynn Minute post, and it may not be clear to them the importance of your scholarly work or that it is peer-reviewed in nature. When reporting peer-reviewed work, consider indicating that it underwent peer review by describing the peer review process or providing a link to the journal webpage where the peer-review process is described.
We recommend breaking the work down into sections: (1) peer-reviewed (2) academic/scholarly, but not peer-reviewed (3) conferences/presentations/lectures
Remember: it is your responsibility to make a case for your work.
